AWS data centers in the UAE suffered physical damage on Sunday after unidentified objects struck one facility, triggering sparks and a fire. The incident forced power shutdowns in multiple availability zones, compounding existing connectivity issues in Bahrain. AWS has not confirmed whether the disruptions are linked to escalating Gulf tensions, but the timing coincides with Iranian retaliatory strikes.
